according to pythagoras theorem

H^2=B^2+P^2

....let AB=x

so AC=x+12

then

(x+12)^2=30^2 + 40^2

= 900 + 1600

=2500

x + 2 = /2500

x + 2= 50

x = 50 - 2

x=48m
