find the length of chord if perpendicular distance between from centre to chord is half of its radius.

A line from centre to a chord bisects it at 90

So ,we have a righ triangle with radius as hypotenuse and perpendicular of 6 cm.

Apply phythagoras th

(10)^2=(6)^2+x^2

We get x^2=8^2

So x=8 length of chord =2x=2*8=16
