Mean means average..

it's formula is..

mean =  \frac{sum}{total \: no \: of \: observations}

here total no. of observations is 10..

And an interesting fact is that we have a formula to calculate sum of first n natural numbers..

 =  \frac{n(n + 1)}{2}

You can try calculating number by number and check out with this formulae...

So let's get into the mean value

mean =  \frac{10(10 + 1)}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{10}

as n=10

=110/20

=11/2

=5.5

hence your answer is 5.5..
