area of the big sheet=

1.5 \times 1.5 = 2.25 {m}^{2}

area of the smaller sheet=

0.3 \times 0.3 = 0.09 {m}^{2}

therefore, no. of small square sheets that can be carved out of the big one=

(area \: of \: big \: sheet \div area \: of \: small \: sheet) \\  = 2.25 \div 0.09 = 25 \: sheets

Sol: Side of small square tin = 30cm

Area of small square tin = side× side

= 30×30

= 900 cm²

Side of big square tin = 1.5m = 150cm

Area of big square tin = side×side

= 150 × 150

= 22500 cm²

No. \:  of  \: square \:  tin  \: sheets \: =  \frac{area \: of \: big \: square \: tin}{area \: of \: small \: square \: tin}  \\  =  \frac{22500}{900}  = 25
