k=6/3

putting k=3 in (1)

x=3+3(5)/3+1

x=3+15/4

x=18/4

x=9/2=4.5

Hence, the ratio in which line segment is divided by x axis is 3:1. And, the coordinate of point of intersection is (4.5,0).
