find the square root of 400

Surface area of the cube = 2400 cm²

To Find :

Side of the cube

Solution :

We know,

          Surface area of the cube  = 6 × (Length of side of the cube)²

⇒                     2400                       = 6 × (Length of side of the cube)²

⇒   (Length of side of the cube)²  =   $\frac{2400}{6}$

⇒   (Length of side of the cube)²  =  400

⇒    Length of side of the cube    = $\sqrt{400}$

∴     Length of side of the cube    = 20 cm

∴  The side of a cube having surface area 2400 cm² is 20 cm.
