add the first 13 odd numbers to get the square of 13 and first 14 odd numbers to get the square of 14

1 ) 13² = ( 10 + 3 )²

= ( 10 )² + 3² + 2 × 10 × 3

= 100 + 9 + 60

= 169

2 ) 14²

= ( 10 + 4 )²

= ( 10 )² + 4 ² + 2 × 10 × 4

= 100 + 16 + 80

= 196
