In order to geometrically find out the value of root 5.6 what you need to do is draw a line segment a b of length 5.6 and then extend the line a b such that BC equals to 1 unit. Now take the midpoint of line AC and draw semicircle by considering AO as the radius. Now draw a perpendicular from the point B and at which ever point the earth touches the perpendicular line that is emerging from. B mark it as BD. The measurement of BD gives you the value of root over 5.6.
