Hi!!

WHAT ARE COMPLEMENTARY ANGLES?

If two angles are complementary, that means that their sum is 90°.

Let one angle be "x"

This, the other angles will be 5/4x (given)

Since the angles are complementary,

x+5/4x=90

4x+5x/4=90

9x=360

x=360/9

x=40 °

WHAT ARE SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLES?

When sum of two angles is 180 degrees, they are said to be supplementary angles.

Thus, the supplementary angle of x=180-x

=180°-40°

=140°
