Given :-

  • radius of cylinder = 3.5 cm
  • height of cylinder = 14.9 cm

To Find :-

  • Surface area of the cylinder ?

Solution :-

we know that,

 \boxed{ \bold{surface \: area \: of \: cylinder = 2\pi r(r + h)}}

 \bold{: \implies 2 \times  \frac{22}{ \cancel7} \times  \cancel{3.5}(3.5 + 14.9) }  \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 44 \times 0.5 \times 18.4} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies404.8 \:  {m}^{2}  } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

hence, surface area of the cylinder is 404.8 m²
