Find the third proportional to : (2+ √3) and (5+4 √3)

Let the third proportional be x.

So, we have,

(2 +  \sqrt {3}) / (5 + 4 \sqrt {3}) = (5 + 4 \sqrt {3}) / x

Or, x = (5 + 4 \sqrt {3})^2 / (2 +  \sqrt {3})

Or, x = (73 + 40 \sqrt {3}) / (2 +  \sqrt {3})

And after that, refer to the attachment ⬆️⬆️

 {\red {Answer -}} Therefore, the third proportional is (26 + 7 \sqrt {3}).
