Find the time taken by a train, of length 225 m, travelling at a speed of 54 km/h to cross (a) a tree near
the railway track, (b) a railway platform of length 585 m.​

(1). Time taken by train in passing a telegraph post(T₁) = (Length of train)÷(Speed of train)

Speed(v) = 54 km/h = 54×5/18 = 15 m/s

T₁ = 225/15 = 15 seconds

(2). Time taken by train to passing a 150 m long platform(T₂) = (Length of the train + Length oh platform)÷(speed)

T₂ = (225+150)÷(15) = 375/15 = 25 seconds

(3). Similarly Time taken by the train to cross a bridge(T₃) = (225+105)/15

T₂ = 330/15 =22 seconds
