The middle term is n+1/2 th term

ie 9+1/2 th term ie 5th term

Therefore the middle term is

a+4d = -4/3+4*1/3=0

Note : The question that you have been asked contains two middle terms , therefore you can take the 6 th term also ie a +5d = -4/3+5*1/3= 1/3
