Generaly it happens that unit digit of a number repeats after fourth power for all number.

unit digit of (518)^163 so we divide 163 by 4 :-

\frac{163}{4}  and get 3 as remainder.

now it comes for unit digit = ( 512)=unit digit(2)

unit digit of (142)^157 here we divide 157 by 4 :-

\frac{157}{4} and we gwt 1 as remainder

now it comes for unit digit=unit digit(2)

∴ the sum of unit digit is (2+2)=4

Ans :-The units digit in {(518)^163 + (142)^157} will be 4
