find the value of k for which one root of the quadratic equation kx2-14x+8=0 is 2

Hey mate!! here is your answer.
since 2 is the root of the equation , hence it will satisfy the equation..
Now putting x as 2 in given equation

k(2)² -14(2)+8=0
4k-28+8=0
4k=20
k=5.

Hence the value of k is 5.
