here a=1
b=-4
c=k
x²-4x+k=0 has DISTINCT REAL ROOTS

b²-4ac>0
(-4)^2 - 4(1)(k)>0
16-4k>0
4k<16{when minus sign change in both side then sign convert}
k<4
So the equation has distinct real roots for all values of k less than 4

AbaAaliya: s i know but my question is for distinct real roots can we take b²-4ac=0
AbaAaliya: then u took b²-4ac=0
AbaAaliya: hey wait I'm just askking u
AbaAaliya: hey actually this is a model question paper in my school
