Find the value of k, if x-3 is a factor of x2-4x+k

Substitute x-3 in given equation

(x-3)2 - 4(x-3) + k = 0

2x-6-4x+12 + k = 0

-2x+6+k = 0

6+ k = 2x

k = 2x - 6
