here is your answer
2x + 3y = 7
( m - 1 )x + ( m + 1 )y = ( 3m - 1 )
2 /m - 1 = 3 / m + 1 = 7 / 3m - 1
2 / m -1 = 7 / 3m - 1
6m - 2 = 7m - 7
6m - 7m = -7 +2
-m = -5
m = 5

3 /m + 1 = 7/ 3m - 1
9m - 3 = 7m +7
9m -7m =7 + 3
2m = 10
m = 5
