5^(x-3).3^(2x-8) = 225
or, 5^(x-3).3^(2x-8) = 3*3*5*5
or, 5^(x-3).3^(2x-8) = 5^2 . 3^2
comparing both sides we get,

5^(x-3) = 5^2
or, x-3 = 2 [if a^m = a^n, then m = n]
or, x = 2 + 3
or, x = 5

3^(2x-8) = 3^2
or, 2x-8 = 2 [if a^m = a^n, then m = n]
or, 2x = 10
or, x = 5

so value of x is 5
