let first root ¢ and other 6¢
then, sum of roots = 6¢ + ¢ = 14/k
7¢ = 14/k
¢ = 2/k -----(1)
6¢^2 = 8/k
3¢^2 = 4/k ----(2)
put equation in equation (2)
3(2/k)^2 = 4/k
12/k^2 = 4/k
3/k = 1
k = 3
then, sum of roots = 6¢ + ¢ = 14/k
7¢ = 14/k
¢ = 2/k -----(1)
6¢^2 = 8/k
3¢^2 = 4/k ----(2)
put equation in equation (2)
3(2/k)^2 = 4/k
12/k^2 = 4/k
3/k = 1
k = 3
