=>P(2) = (2)^3 - 10(2)^2 + 2a +b
=> 0 = 8 - 40 + 2a + b
=> 0 = -32 + 2a +b ---------- (2)

-9 + a + b = 0
-(-32 + 2a + b) = 0

-23 + a = 0
=> a = 23
Putting value of 'a' in equation 2.
=> 0 = -32 + 2 x 23 + b
=> -b = -32+46
=> -b = 14
=> b = -14
Again,
Putting value of 'a' in equation 1.
=> 0 = -9 + a + b
=> 0 = -9 + 23 + b
=> -b = 14
=> b = -14
