y^2 - 3√5y/2 - 5   By Splitting the middle term,   y²+4√5y/2-√5y/2-5=0   Taking LCM 2y²+4√5y-√5y-10=0                              (Denominator taken to RHS)   2y(y+2√5)-√5(y+2√5)=0   (2y-√5)(y+2√5)=0   ∴y= √5/2 or -2√5     Verifiction-  α+β = √5/2 - 2√5    Taking LCM = (√5 - 4√5 )/2 = (-3√5)/2   -b/a = -3√5/3   Thus, α+β = -b/a  αβ = -2√5 x √5/2 = -10/2 = -5  c/a = -5 Thus, αβ = c/a   Hence, Verified.    ............    Hope that helps!
