Given;-

  • 3 is consecutive numbers
  • Their sum is 447

To find:-

  • The 3 numbers

Let

  • The 3 numbers are x,(x+2),(x+4)

Now,

According to the question

x+(x+2)+(x+4)=447

x+x+2+x+4=447

3x+6=447

3x=447-6

3x=441

x=\frac{441}{3}

x=147

So, the numbers are

  • 147
  • 147+2=148
  • 147+4=151

Verification:-

147+148+151=447

Hope it helps

Given :

  • Sum of three consecutive numbers = 447

To Find :

The three consecutive odd numbers.

Solution :

Let the First number be x , second number be (x + 2) and third number be (x + 4).

So , according to the Question , we get the Equation as :-

\underline{\boxed{:\implies \bf{a + b + c = 447}}}

Where :-

  • a = First number
  • b = Second number
  • c = Third number

Now , putting the value of three numbers (in terms of x) , we get :-

\underline{:\implies \bf{x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 447}} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \bf{x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 447} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \bf{3x + 6 = 447} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \bf{3x = 447 - 6} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \bf{3x = 441} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \bf{x = \dfrac{441}{3}} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \bf{x = 147} \\ \\ \\

Hence, the value of x is 147.

Now ,by putting the value of x in the values of three consecutive numbers (in terms of x) , we get :-

First Number :-

:\implies \bf{x} \\ \\

:\implies \bf{147} \\ \\

Hence, the first number is 147.\\

Second Number :-

:\implies \bf{x + 2} \\ \\

:\implies \bf{147 + 2} \\ \\

:\implies \bf{149} \\ \\

Hence, the second number is 149.\\

Third Number :-

:\implies \bf{x + 4} \\ \\

:\implies \bf{147 + 4} \\ \\

:\implies \bf{151} \\ \\

Hence, the third number is 151.\\

Hence, the three consecutive odd numbers are 147 , 149 and 151.
