from 1st condition
x+y=57-------(1)

from 2nd condition
x-y=41-------(2)

adding equation no.1 and 2
x+y=57
x-y=41
-----------
2x=98
x=98/2
x=49

put x=49 in equation no.2
x-y=41
49-y=41
-y=41-49
-y=-8
y=8

therefore two no. are 49 and 8
