Let there be a XY plane.
and origin be the centre of the base of the cylinder of radius R
Now let the cylinder be along the Y axis with Height equals H.

Consider a arbritrary disc on the cylinder parallel to the the base at a distance of y from the origin.

Lets the disc height be dy.

therefore volume of small disc
dV = area of disc * small height
dV= πr² *dy

the total Volume is just the integration of small Volume when Y is varied from 0 to H.

so net Volume
= intergation of dV
=integration of πr²*dy
= πr²[y] //0 to H

= πr²H. Answer.

with this method u can even find volume of a cylinder which is not right cylinder. u can also find volume of sphere,Cone,square pyramid , tetrahedron or any shape u want .

Hopefully this might have helped you .

iffs: can you send me the picture of its diagram? :p
ani99ket: i can't brainly doesn't allow me to send picture in edit mode .. sorry
ani99ket: but its simple integration .. you might have used these while reading physics with th hc verma book
