For an examination 10% of the applicants were found ineligible and 65% of the eligible candidates belonged to the general category. if 31500 eligible candidates belonged to other categories, then how many candidates applied for the examination

IN EXAMINATION =100%

10% ineligible = 100-10% =90% (remaining )

(general ) 65% 25% (other ) = 31500

: 25% =31500
1% =31500 / 25× 100 =12600

12600 cadidates applied
