latent heat is hidden to break bonds so the temp is constant

When, the material undergoes state change, then some latent heat has to be supplied to the material to break the bonds between it's Particles to undergo phase change and thus is the reason that temperature does not change when state change is being performed because all the heat being provided is used up in as latent heat .
