for finishing a job A need 2 days,B need 3 days and C need 6 days. how many days needed for the same job if they work together​

Answer: 1 day

A needs 2 days to complete the work by himself .

∴ A can do 1/2 of the work in 1 day .

B needs 3 days to complete the work by himself .

∴ B can do 1/3 of the work in 1 day .

C needs 6 days to complete the work by himself .

∴ C can do 1/6 of the work in 1 day .

∴ Together A,B,C can do \frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{6} of the work in 1  day .

\frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{6}

\frac{3 + 2 + 1}{6}  ⇒ \frac{6}{6} = 1 , which means the whole work is completed .

∴ Together A,B,C can complete the work together in 1 day.
