For making cake if baking soda is used in place of baking powder. How will it affect the taste of the cake and why?

it make the cake salty
but we must use it in small amount

2️⃣Baking soda and baking powder are same, few call it soda while others call it powder.

3️⃣It is used to generate CO2 which makes cake fluffier.
