For the given reaction:
H2(g)+Cl2(g) → 2H+(aq.) + 2Cl (aq.), ∆G° = -262.4 kJ
The value of free energy of formation (∆G°f) for ion Cl-(aq.) is:
A) -131.2 kmal
B) +131.2 kmol
C) -262.4 k mol

option A is correct because value of Free energy formation is calculate for 1 mole of any ion, compound etc here in above reaction 2Cl- form and energy is -262kj so ∆G°F is -131kj
