Formula for arithmetic progression to find the no of terms=a+(n-1)d where a is first term of AP and d is common difference.

EXAMPLE

1,2,3,4..........10

Let last term be 10

a=1 nd d=1

l=a+(n-1)d

10=1+(n-1)1

10-1=n-1

9=n-1

9+1=n

10=n

hence no of terms =10
