Suppose you have any arbitrary straight line like

ax + by + c = 0
ax + by = -c
x/-c/a + y/-c/b = 1

Hence, the x intercept will be -c/a and the y intercept will be -c/b.

AnjaliRoy00: i have to make equation
AnjaliRoy00: only "m" and x intercept is give ...how i find equation
dhruvsh: ohk
dhruvsh: m = -a/b right?
AnjaliRoy00: where is a & ???¿
dhruvsh: m = -(a/c)/(b/c) can i right it like this?
AnjaliRoy00: I don't think it is making sense
dhruvsh: wait now,
dhruvsh: slope = y intercept / x - intercept
AnjaliRoy00: i have to find eqation of line... and i have given slope of line - 2 and it intersect x axis at -3

y= mx+ c

for x intercept y= 0

mx = - c

x= - c/m its x intercept

y= mx + c

y/m = x + c/m

y/m = x - L ( L is x intercept)

y = m( x- L)
