formula to find time period

SmartCutiePie: λ is the wavelength of the wave. The formula for frequency of a wave is used to find frequency(f), time period(T), wave speed (V) and wave length (λ). The Frequency is expressed in Hertz (Hz).

For a pendulum T = 2 pi sqrt(L/g)

Time period of a periodic motion is the time elapsed between two instants when the motion passes the same position or phase.

T = 2 pi/w. w = angular speed.
w = 2 pi f. f = frequency.
T = 1/f.

For a wave T = 2 pi /(k v).
k = wave number. v = wave speed.
