Answer:

(D) part is correct

Explanation:

in reaction of hydrochloric acid and zinc :-

Zn + HCl → ZnCl 2 + H 2

hence this reaction is a possible reaction ( ✔)

in reaction of hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate  :-

Na2CO3 + 2 HCl → 2 NaCl + H2CO3

hence this is also a possible reaction ( ✔)

in reaction of sodium hydroxide and zinc :-

Zn(s)+2NaOH(aq)+2H2O(l)→Na2Zn(OH)4(aq)+H2(g)

hence this is also possible reaction ( ✔)

in reaction of sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate :-

no reaction

When sodium carbonate is added to sodium hydroxide no characteristic reaction is formed as these both are bases. As both sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide contains Na+ ions, hence, no visible reactions are found.

hence (D) part is correct
