Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1) Convert the mixed fractions into improper fractions:

((44)⋅1+14)+((22)⋅1+12)

(44+14)+(22+12)

5/4+3/2

Step 2) Get both fractions over a common denominator (in this case 4) by multiplying the second fraction by the necessary form of 1:

54+((22)(32))

5/4+6/4

11/4

Hope it's Help you.

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

        Given data:-1\frac{1}{4}+1\frac{1}{2}.

        To convert:- mixed fractions into improper fractions.

        Solution:-

       Step 1: We will multiply the denominator with the whole number; 4 multiply by 1.

        Step 2:Then, we will add a numerator to the product obtained 4 multiply  by 1.we get, 4+1=5.

          Step 3: We will write the value obtained in step 2 over the denominator

         same process will apply for second mixed fractions.so we get,

            \Rightarrow 1\frac{1}{4}+1\frac{1}{2} \\\Rightarrow \frac{5}{4}+\frac{3}{2}\\\Rightarrow  \frac{5\times2+3\times4}{8}\\\Rightarrow \frac{22}{8}=\frac{11}{4}

   Hence, the value will be \frac{11}{4}
