Here's You're Answer

The pH value of milk decreases when it changes into curd. This is because curd contains lactic acid, which is acidic in nature. Acidic substances have pH values less than 7 and that of neutral substances is equal to seven. As the pH of milk is closer to 7 (6), the pH of milk will decrease when it changes into curd.

\textbf{pH :}

* Potential Hydrogen.

* It ranges from 0 to 14.

* It is used to measure how much acidic or basic is a substance.

* If it is less than 7 than acidic. If 7 then neutral. And if it is more than 7 than basic.

\huge\textbf{Decreases}

Reason :-

The pH of milk is 6.

But the pH of curd is 4.5 - 5.5.

The pH decreases as milk changes into curd.

As the lactic acid are produced in it, which as the name suggests is acidic in nature.

And in acidic pH is less than 7.
