Fluid friction will fill under both air and water for example when we fire a bullet through a gun in water it do not covers maximum distance because the friction inside the water do not allows the bullet to go further as back of the bullet is low pressure and at the tip of the bullet there is high pressure thus the high pressure moves towards the low pressure and lowers the velocity of bullet in water. In air when asteroids come to the surface of the earth it burns because of the friction as back of the asteroids the is low pressure and front there is high pressure thus high pressure moves towards the low pressure and result if asteroid are burnt.
