From a starting point A, Ravi drives 9/4km towards North and drives 5/6km towards South to reach point B. where will be the Ravi now from point A?

So, the question may appear difficult due to fractions involved, but it is simpler one. By looking at the movement - first north and then south we can come to a conclusion that he is walking on a straight line. Now to derive actual distance just subtract 5/6 from 9/4, that would give 34/24=17/12.
Moreover as answer is positive we can come at the conclusion that he is North of point A, so Ravi is 17/12 kms away from point A towards North of A......Hope it helps and do ping me if you need more elaborated answer..would love to help.

he is starting from north and ending in south so it means the person is moving in uniform motion that is a straight line. so that now we know that it is a uniform motion so to calculate the actual distance subtract the two.
