Formula to be used:-

  • Area of Trapezium = ½(a + b)h
  • Area of Parallelogram = b × h
  • Area of Triangle = ½ × b × h

[Symbols have their usual meanings.]

1] ar(ACDE):-

We know,

Area of Trapezium = ½(a + b)h

⟹ ar(ACDE) = ½(7 m + 13 m)(6.5 m)

⟹ ar(ACDE) = (10)(6.5) m² = 65 m²

2] ar(ABDE):-

We know,

Area of ||gm = b × h

⟹ ar(ABDE) = 7 m × 6.5 m = 45.5 m²

3] ar(BCD):-

We know,

Area of △ = ½ × b × h

⟹ Area = ½(13 m – 7 m)(6.5 m)

⟹ Area = (3 m)(6.5) m² = 19.5 m².
