according to Pythagoras theorem
ac² =ab²+bc²
ac²=( 4 cm) ²+(3cm)²
ac²=16cm² + 9cm²
ac²=25cm²
ac²=(5cm)²
ac=5 cm
area of a triangle=½×base×height
=½×4cm ×5cm
=10cm²
