Saryu06: I have a doubt
Saryu06: The formula of parallelogram is b*h
Saryu06: And you have applied b*a..why?
Anonymous: see properly which was saying that it is the actual height because the line between two parallel is perpendicular and hence it is height it is height of trapezium as well as parallogram as well as the triangle because it is a height of a quadrilateral hence it is height of all the figure included in it
Saryu06: Okay....thanks

given,
ACDE is a trapezium.

to find,
area of trapezium,
area of parallelogram
area of triangle

construction,
draw a line from D to meat AC at point B, such that DB||EA.

solution,
ED||AB(ACDE is a trapezium)
DB||EA(by construction)
.`.opposite sides are ||
=>ABDE is a ||gm

area of ||gm ABDE=b×h
b=7m
h=6.5m

area=6.5×6
=45.5 square m
area of triangle BCD=1/2bh
b=6m
h=6.5m
area=1/2×6×6.5
=19.5 square m

area of trapezium=45.5+19.5
=65 square m
