From where do the small farmer get capital needed for farming? how does it effect farmers?

most of the poor farmers get capital for farming from landlords on very high interest rate and sometimes the crop is not as good as the amount of debt can be paid so they got caught in this debt trap and as a result they are forced to sell their land as to pay the debt
