All fruits are not not sweet. Some tastes sour, while some others tastes bitter. The taste of a fruit depends on the compounds present in it. A fruit, in general, contains organic acid, starch, protein, fructose natural sugar, minerals and cellulose. Fruits having more amount of acids are sour in taste; while fruits having more amount of fructose content taste sweet.
