The kink slows the flow of the mercury back into the bulb after the thermometer is removed from the mouth (or elsewhere) so the temperature can be read more accurately. Otherwise the indicated temperature would begin to decrease as soon as the bulb is moved to a cooler environment.please mark it brainliest.

Kink is a special structure in the clinical thermometer which ensures the correct  measurement of body temperature. It prevents falling of mercury present in the  capillary tube into the bulb.
