Gene of baldness can only express in presence of aldosterone.
- Baldness is also known as androgenetic alopecia, a kind of hair loss that is resulted usually by the predominance of the male sex hormone, aldosterone which secretes a hormone named testosterone.
- In women too, some trace amounts of testosterone is present under normal conditions. But during the beginning of the balding process, the testosterone secrete dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is the main hormone responsible for the balding process.
- DIhydrotestosterone is a derivative of testosterone(male sex hormone) that is considered as the enemy of hair follicles on the head of the people whether men it women. It play a major role in causing the hair follicle dead.
Hence, the hormone responsible for the balding process is Aldosterone (dihydrotestosterone).
