The worst floods of India occurred in nine districts of uttarakhand state in the year 2013.
It killed close to 1000 people and caused mass destruction near Kedarnath temple.

Himalayan flash floods of 2012 due to melting of glaciers and sudden cloudburst.

Brahmaputra floods in 2012 which killed 124 people and more than 500 animals in Kaziranga park.

Bihar Flood, 1987

In Bihar flood near about 1400 people and 53 animals lost their lives and nearly 29 million people were affected in 30 districts

Assam Flood, 2012

Across none district, 1744 villagers and 70,000 hectares of cropland got affected.it also affected Kaziranga National Park, where about 540 animals died.

Maharashtra Flood, 2005

About 1094 people died in a flood which occurred one month after the June 2005 Gujrat floods.

Uttrakhand Flood, 2013

The destruction of bridges and roads left about 100,000 pilgrims and tourists trapped in Uttarakhand Floods.

Gujrat Floods, 2005

This flood is recorded as the worse flood as it caused the economy and financial loss to the nation. About 250,000 people were evacuated and more than 123 deaths.

Jammu & Kashmir Floods,2014

2600 villages were reported to be affected in flood, out of which near about 390 villages in Kashmir were completely submerged.
