5 VERSES OF BHAGWAD GITA.

#TRIBUTE TO OUR INDIA ARMY#

1. Know Your True Self

In Krishna’s first teaching to Arjuna, he explains that the material world you perceive with your five senses is not the true expression of reality. It is an illusion, albeit a convincing one. Your ultimate essence is pure spirit.

2. Follow Your Purpose in Life

Krishna then goes on to remind Arjuna to follow his dharma, or his purpose in life. Arjuna’s dharma is that of a warrior, both literally and metaphorically. Arjuna has been a mighty warrior all his life; it is what he was born to do.

3. Take Action

What comes next is a hint at what will be discussed at length in future chapters of the Gita. Krishna reminds Arjuna that he is here in this world to take action. Self-doubt, worry, and anxiety are the results not of action, but of mental turbulence, compulsive over-thinking, and analysis paralysis.

4. Build Experience

Krishna points out that every action leaves an impression, but only through disciplined practice are you able to improve. When you take action, you build up a surplus of experiences. Your skills grow and you become more capable.

5. Meditate

Finally, Krishna teaches Arjuna the profound knowledge for tapping into the wisdom of yoga: meditation. Through the practice of meditation, the voices of doubt, indecision, fear, and worry soften to distant whispers, ultimately fading away entirely.

<b>Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5, Verse 1

☯️ <b>Translation

BG 5.1: Arjun said: O Shree Krishna, You praised karm sanyās(the path of renunciation of actions), and You also advised to do karm yog (work with devotion). Please tell me decisively which of the two is more beneficial?

<b>Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5, Verse 5

☯️ <b>Translation

BG 5.5: The supreme state that is attained by means of karm sanyāsis also attained by working in devotion. Hence, those who see karm sanyās and karm yog to be identical, truly see things as they are.

<b>Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5, Verse 4

☯️ <b>Translation

BG 5.4: Only the ignorant speak of sānkhya (renunciation of actions, or karm sanyās) and karm yog (work in devotion) as different. Those who are truly learned say that by applying ourselves to any one of these paths, we can achieve the results of both.

<b>Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 5, Verse 3

BG 5.3: The karm yogis, who neither desire nor hate anything, should be considered always renounced. Free from all dualities, they are easily liberated from the bonds of material energy.

<b>Bh agavad Gita: Chapter 5, Verse 2

☯️ <b>Translation

BG 5.2: The Supreme Lord said: Both the path of karm sanyās(renunciation of actions) and karm yog (working in devotion) lead to the supreme goal. But karm yog is superior to karm sanyās.
