If there is a crack or breakage in the bone it is known as fracture. Fracture can take place in any part of human body. There are many ways a bone can get fractured.
The healing process is usually very straight after the broken bones get aligned they have to be kept immobile for a specific period. Osteoclasts or bone cells take in the old and damaged bone whereas the osteoblasts help to create new bone. Callus that gets formed around the fracture is the new bone. This callus gets formed on the either side of the broken bones and helps to fill the gap.
Finally the excess bone is smoothed off and the part becomes just as it was originally.
