solution :-

here given,

AB = 12 CM

BC = 5 CM

IN RIGHT ANGLE TRIANGLE ABC ,

AC ^2 = AB ^2 + BC ^2

√ (12 )^2 + (5) ^2 = 144 +25

AC ^2 = 169

AC = √ 169CM

AC= 13 CM× 13 CM

AC = 13 CM

DIAMETER , AC = 13 CM.

RADIUS ,r = 13 / 2 cm

area of shaded region ,

= AREA OF THE CIRCLE - AREA OF RECTANGLE ABCD.

= π r^2 - 12 × 5 = 3.14 × 13 /2 × 13 /2 - 12 × 5

= 132 .67 - 60 = 72 .67 cm 2.

hence , the area of the shaded region = 72 .67 cm2.
