b. Its impact certainly differed from the eastern front with that of the western front.
c. In the eastern front, Russian army suffered heavy casualties.
d.  The war had a devastating effect on Russia, as its army faced heavy casualties, ​with over 7 million casualties by 1917.
e. The Russian army as they retreated also destroyed crops and buildings to prevent them from the enemy, but it effected the local Russian population, as it led to displacement of over 3 million people in Russia.
f. The war also impacted Russian industry, the supply of industrial goods to Russia  from other countries was also impacted.
g. There was shortage of goods, equipments. Many small scale workshops were shut down.
h. As large supply of grains was sent to the Russian army, the country faced acute food shortages,  By the winter of 1916, riots at bread shops took place.All this events made Tsarist regime highly unpopular which made people demand withdrawal from the war.
i. This was quite unlike , the way war was fought from the western front.
j. There the army fought from the trenches  and did not suffer much..
k.  On 25th February 1917, faced with revolting subjects, the Tsar suspended Duma comprised of elected Parliamentarians resulting in demonstrations and protests against such an act.
l. With worker and soldiers rebelling and forming Soviet or council, Tsar was left with no choice but to abdicate the throne.
